Let's get cheeky! I'll start the damage this weekend.

I finished the right cheek. Not too much SE damage on this side, but there are a couple of additional chips and scratches.

I'm done with the left cheek now. There's more SE damage on this side.
So that's two cheeks down, one to go! Wait... someone check my math.

Are you REDdy for an update?
Getting the red airbrushed on really changes the look of the helmet. Since around April 2021 I've been using Archive-X acrylic D&H Caboose Red. It's a beautiful color.

Absolutely agree about how much a splash of red transforms the overall appearance of the helmet. Looking good, even better when the red takes a little damage.

I did the keyslot area. As I continue with the damage, all that nice clean red will begin to get covered.

Here's the middle section of the band. Lots of great little details!

I finished the left side of the band. I'll add the white thumbprints later during weathering.

The right part of the band is finished. Now it's on to the front!

I got the left side of the brow done, including the "crack repair."

The right side of the brow is finished. Time to move down to the mandibles!

Here's the left mandible in its glorious SE state!
So that's it, the helmet is finished.

What's that? I have to do the right mandible, too?? Wow, nothing gets past you Fett heads.

Whew! Upper part of the right mandible is done. My eyeballs fell out.
I'm including a collage showing the detail being applied in stages topically.

I Really like the collage , it definitely helps seeing the creative process.

The right mandible is finished now! That takes care of all the basic painting on the helmet.
