New Hunter
Hello all,
This is my latest paint job replicating the Special Edition helmet for Boba Fret . The helmet was painted with acrylics such as Model Master and Archive X. All these colors are mixes replicating some of the swatch cards Floquil created within the 70's as well as some Floquils I have attained for myself. Only colors on this helmet that are not mixes are Archive X Lark Dark, Earth, Reefer White, and Rust for the splatters. The silver I used was Aluminum by Testors which can be found at Hobby Lobby. The only layered aspect of this helmet is the concrete color beneath the main green on the back panels, the rest is all topical with some reverse masking with a Cricut machine. Almost all damage is painted within the impressions of the cast which served as a natural stencil for me to work off of. Anyways, cast is a MinuteFett SE cast, metal ears and borden by MinuteFett, TerminalFett topper, and a NeoFett servo kit which will be installed by the person this helmet is going towards. This could not have been done without @Minute Ord Mantell Jurassic_Fett
For those curious, I used a D3100 Nikon with a shutter speed of 2-3 seconds, F11, ISO200, and auto White Balance. I used two lights, one main light in the front to the side and a small one behind the helmet both in which were relatively dim hence the long shutter speeds.
