General Mid-Budget ESB built

Then I could mount the aluminium bar for the lower jetpack clips. I used a laying around metal part, filled with a piece of hardfoam for create some space between the harness and the jetpack.

Now I sanded the sides of the hardfoam a little smoother.

That´s how it looks at the moment.

Stay tuned for the upper strapping... I bought 3m car seatbelt. As soon as it arrives, progress will be posted. ;)

The next bits and pieces arrived today... The car seatbelt and 2 variants of "stoppers". Now I hope the "US Diver" belt buckle arrives in the next days, so I can start to finish the harness.

Preparing for the first HUMBROL enamel paint. ;)

Number 78 will be first, but before applying, I masked the silver areas which will be shown as "weathering/damage" effects with HUMBROL maskol. This I just paint on with a soft-brush with a rubber-head, so the maskol can´t stick on the brush. Printed out a picture for reference.

Now the enamel paint has to dry for about 24 hours.

I took off the maskfluid, to see if it worked... and it worked really well! ;) Now I could sand the surface with a 120 grid sandpaper and prepare the jetpack for the next layer Humbrol No.78.
But first I´ll mask the silver areas again, to create "REAL" scratched and chipped off paint look, like I did on my whole armor. :)

Looks cool! Is that chipped look on the jetpack like in the movie? I want to do the same on jetpack and gauntlets and didnt found out yet...

Thank you, mate! I´m not 100% sure, if this method was done in the movies. But I think the more realistic look to get, is paint it that way, like the paint comes off in reality. ;)
