A'den Solu's ROTJ SE Build

I'm like 99% sure for the few seconds of screen time for the special edition ROTJ costume, and in the promotional photos for SE the chest display is not even on. So worst case scenario you just turn it off when you want to be seen as "accurate" lol

Yeah I did a little looking into it yesterday and I agree Lowberg. The promo photos do not have lights on, and while the MMCC CRL mentions "They must be backed by an illuminated red, flashing display", the 501st requirements just state, "Slots are backed by a translucent red piece of plastic/acrylic." So I'll just be going with the ROTJ setting that it has programmed into it when I want in on.

I've still got to weather everything and I didn't attach the hoses to the gauntlets or put the jetpack on since it was just a quick suit up to see how things were fitting and what adjustments need to be made so far.

But here's how it's looking so far...

It's all coming together, you are looking like Boba Fett!!!! So Awesome!!! The soft part weathering will definitely bring it to the next level.

Is your left chest / display side chest piece wandering up a bit away from the rest of the armor? It might just be the fabric around it bunching because your snap installation looks nice and even on the vest side. Next time you suit up try just giving the vest a good tug from the bottom to see if everything lines up how you want. Jetpack will also tug the vest around too so I'd wait to see how that affects things. It's something I'm still dialing in on my own build too!

If you want, you could attach some foam or cardboard on the bottom of the anti-security blade to boost it up and stick out of the pocket higher. It will show it off more!

Thanks! Yes, definitely some adjustments to be made. I'm thinking the tugging may just be partially based on it being thrown on and the flak vest not secured all the way on the back so it was bunched up slightly, but you're right, once the jetpack goes on I'm sure it'll make a difference too. Ahh the constant tinkering. Haha.

Nice recommendation on the foam. I stuck a little in the pockets and it did pop the security blade up some. I started weathering a little last night on the jumpsuit, pouches, and spats and will continue that this week, but yes just a little is already changing the appearance of that too clean look.

That is exactly what I did! (Used cardboard)
I initially had a Man of War Anti-Security Blade. But later went on to build my own from the Paterson Squeegee. And when I shaped the plexiglass I made it slightly longer. But still found I needed the cardboard to make it stick out more out of the pocket.

Sounds like the key is the parts tend to always need that little boost for visibility. Once I get the weathering done I'll play around with the heights and see what material works to get them to the right levels. Thanks guys!

Not sure what flight suit you have, but I have an Arkady Flight suit. The pocket is pretty tight - but initially, I was worried about the Shin Tool falling in front of, or behind the cardboard. Which would then put me back at square one. But after 4 years of trooping. I've yet to come across that problem.

Life became hectic the last few months and I wasn't able to work on my Fett build, but it's time to start chipping away again. I made some minor adjustments and tried everything on again this weekend to see what needs to be fixed for sizing purposes.

I still need to do more weathering and keep working on the list of things to focus on to whip this into shape. Also the jetpack harness straps need to be shortened so it rides higher on the back.

I also found that I need to make a few adjustments to the girth belt and ammo belt as they're a little too big now. But here's some photos from this holiday weekend...
