General Mid-Budget ESB built

Hello everyone... Still upgrading my ESB Boba Fett costume.

This time the "survival knife". I built one by myself using 3 mm pvc hardfoam, but was lucky to purchase two very cheap ones made of resin. I painted them both in silver and coloured one of them in gold now. I use Humbrol masking fluid to cover the small areas, where the silver will have to show through later. Weathering will follow...

Helmet-Update:

I always avoided re-working the "borden connector", because of being too afraid of ruining the helmet. Now I found the courage! :D

Drilled the second small hole and made the "borden connector" silver by using "Rub´n´Buff".

I was lucky to find these two things: an aluminium replica "Borden Connector" and a real Polaroid camera lens. Next helmet upgrades will follow soon.

Some detail pics of my wookie-braid attachment update, using RafalFett´s reference guide. The safety-pin/magnet combination was recognizable after some movements. So I removed this and sew the scalps and a curved metal part together, and glued another magnet on to the metal part. Now it stays in position again (the other magnet sits inside the vest) and the attachment is not recognizable.

Had a great time during the premiere-night of "The Last Jedi" with some friends here in Germany.

We even managed to get on the title of a local newspaper. The article is about the "Star Wars Stammtisch Aachen" offical trooping to collect money for children with cancer (Kinderkrebshilfe).

Been quiet for a long time...

I proudly can announce, my ESB Fett is complete again. I was lucky to get (once again) my hands on one of "Sidewinder´s" amazing, perfectly made kits.

Built and painted it in the last 14 days. This time installed a real scope and made the opening functional by a spring-system. In the near future light and sound electronics will follow.
