More detail work today. I got the lower RF ear done.



I also worked on the RF assembly. I weathered the metal stalk with some rust spots and a rusty wash. Then I added 2 red LEDs in the topper, added the chipping, and attached it to the stalk.

I got the black arch airbrushed on. I'll let it dry overnight before masking it for the white portion.

Got the ear cap detailed, so now it's on to final weathering and assembly.

Final weathering stages are in work. The changes in appearance will be pretty subtle from here on out.
I added an acrylic wash to dirty things up a bit. Next will be the addition of some pigment powders and the spatter.

We're really close now... here are a couple of shots of the nearly final assembly. The ears and Borden are installed, and I need to glue the Polaroid lens onto the clear block. Then all that's left is visor installation!

And here we are at the end of ESB #34. Thanks to everyone who followed along with the progress. It's always a little sad when I finish one of these, knowing that I have to send it away. But I know it's going to a good home!
