Superjedi's FPH2 SE for Malc

Is the right mandible split vertically there? It looks like it's de-laminating (for lack of a better term).

Red! Finally. :)

I’m sure my friends and coworkers are getting tired of me showing them all your progress pics but I don’t care. This looks so awesome!

Before starting on the front areas I went back and added the pale contrasting gray on the rear portions.

There's some of this color scattered over certain other areas of the helmet, but a lot of it is concentrated on the rear panels.

There's a lot of detail on the right mandible so I break it up into 2 sections. Here's the upper section. I also included a shot showing how I build the detail.

The right mandible is finished now. :)
The helmet is really close to its final appearance. I just need to do the weathering stages, but first I'll work on the ears.

The RF ear is in work. The lower piece is finished and the black arch has been airbrushed onto the ear cap. I'll let this dry for a day before masking it for the white arch.

I sculpted the "crack repair" with some Vallejo putty to give it some dimensionality. Here it is all painted. I used a little clear orange to simulate the epoxy that oozed out during the repair.
