Did some jetpack, back plate and vest tests today. I´ll have to change some things. The slots in the vest need to get bigger. The top of the harness pushes the back plate up. The weight of the jetpack pushes the back plate back into the right position, but I´m afraid this will damage the back plate in the near future.

The bust has another size then me. The harness straps are adjusted to fit me, so this why the jetpack sitts too low in the pics. I´ll do some tests wearing the vest myself in the next days.

Started reworking the vest jetpack slots. Marked the area where the straps need more space. It´s huge... Cut the marked lines at the right slot.

I did the same thing, the little slits were not practical at all, the larger gap makes for more movement and feels better, no one will ever see it anyway.

Got a small package from Portugal. I recieved a holster from Bobamaker. Though my fiberglas "Nemrod" holster replica is too heavy for costuming, I decided to go the less authentic route.

I found it... Thanks... I haven´t looked into the cargo hold for a long time, because I´m now only waiting for the EE-3 from sidewinder... and then I´m almost ready... beside some minor changes here and there.

Another Boba Fett costume-friend asked me, how I solved the problem, that the cape always (still hold on top with the stud) slips down the shoulder. My answer was: magnets. I glued 6 three-layered N52 rare earth magnets inside the back armour and sew 4 two-layered magnets into the cape. The cape stays in place and only with a strong pull, it can be taken away from the back armour.

I weathered the pouches using an abrasive sponge, a soft sponge, brushes in different sizes, black acrylic paint, a knife and a tong with grooves.


I sanded the surface at several points with the abrasive sponge.


Then brushed on some black acrylic. Left it for 3 seconds and then wiped it away using the soft sponge. This I repeat until I´m happy with the result.
In these pictures on the left side a clean pouch, on the right side a painted one, to show the difference.


With the knife and the riffles of the tong I scratched the surface and the edges.
