Connector Rod from Revell 1:4 Visible V-8 Kit (ESB EE-3)

Just a question here... is there any difference in parts for different years for these kits? I imagine they used the 1977 kit, but they make one today that is easier to obtain than a 1977 kit.

Anyone have any experience hunting these down?

The modern Revell(Monogram) kit has the same conrod parts. You don't get the ROTJ EE3's 'S' stock greebly though as the modern kit is changed to a hand crank rather than the Renwal's motor.
