BUDGET CHIN SKIRT

I've wanted a chin skirt for a while now, but with BooBoo MIA, didn't look like I'd be getting one anytime soon...then, last night at work I noticed a laundry bag that had a very similar color to my neckseal, and was already a bit weathered...the gears started turning, and this morning I took a pair of scissors to it, put a piece of cardboard in it to reinforce the edge, a couple quick stitches, and some velcro on the seal and the inside of my bucket and BAM! NEW CHIN SKIRT...couldnt find any templates here for it, so I basically eyeballed it off of BooBoo Fetts pics.

You did a great job!
There is a template (here ==> Fett Helmet skirt/gasket template) made by Rich D. for the Jango Fett helmet which look similar to what you did. This brings up the Pre-Pro #1 helmet and I'm talking about this image where it seems that the gasket is attached with velcro to the inside of the cheek area:

After posting this I read the BBF's original sale thread (here ==> BBF HELMET / CHIN SKIRT, not Balaclava - Continuous Run) and he shows the same images. So no new news...

Yeah, I based mine off of those pics from BooBoo's thread, with the side by side comparison, and I found an updated version he was doing before he dropped off the face of the earth (I actually talk to him on facebook from time to time), the updated version had a leather insert in the cuff, and some better pics of just the skirt by itself. It tucks right into my neckseal, and doesnt move out at all, it gives me plenty of give for turning my head, and finally it will stop the snooping eyes that always seem to try and get a look under my bucket....(pesky kids... )

an additional note, I was by myself when I put this on and took the pictures....As you can see, I didnt quite get the velcro perfectly lined up. I have a feeling it will look and fit even better with just a little assistance. GREAT, ANOTHER REASON FOR MY WIFE TO HATE ME....MORE HELP NEEDED GETTING INTO MY COSTUME!
