I opted for a rubies boba helmet as my head doesn't fit in black series helmets and it wasn't expensive. Ima do what i can to change it up. I already got a new visor

Hi, not yet but im curious as well. Im still in the priming stage. So if i get to the paints ill let you know.

Update. I ended up picking up the soft peices i needed like the vest, belt and scarf. The armor was sewn on so ima have to take it off.

Next i got to working on the armor finally. Very exciting. I smoothed out the armor with uv resin but not too smooth to give it a extra layer of worn.

i jumped ahead and sprayed silver over some.of the peices but then remembered i want to still lightly rubber coat it to give the paint a sandwashed look as a base.

im using the back plate as a test peice to see what it might come out as. At the moment im using hunter green, ive been looking for a better green but couldn't find any my local stores. I like it but i know its not the accurate color, ima keep looking for a better green. I feel like its more of a lighter green. I weathered it as well.

Been reading through a lot of posts about color. Montana gold Storm green looks good. Montana Smaragd green looks good too. I also bought Montana Jungle just for S&G’s. Plan on doing some testing and trial soon. I think the Kelly will be good for the back panel of the helmet perhaps.

New update. I found congo green at home depot and its not too bad of a green. Ive painted alot of the armor so far. I may have gone a little overboard on the weathering for a fresh boba. I like it though.

Heres the texture i was mentioning, its like a sand blasted metal look. Gives more of a rustic vibe id say.

found the gloves on Amazon. It came in a pack of a pair of black and brown gloves. Both gloves for only 15$. Crazy good deal.

and finally the soft parts. Going to take off the sewn on armor next and add the velcro for the printed armor. Im also printing more accurate belt pounches and the bullets for the belt as I like that look better for the belt.

Hey guys update time. I repainted the shoulders and knees to a orange yellow which i feel is more accurate. Love how it came out.

I used cardinal gloss red for these. Going to use it for the helmet too. Next i added a cheap led strip to the chest plate.

And lastly working on the helmet

coming along nicely. love the resin printed missile. not looking forward to post processing my FDM one. :( are you planning on using a matte clear coat on the glossy paint or leave as-is?

At the moment i think ill keep the red as is. Its not to gloosy when its dried which is great so far.

Todays update.

Great work so far! What’d you buy for the soft pieces?

Thanks!
You mean where? I got them from a website called magic wardrobe, but i dont recommend them to be honest. Good quality but size is not great The vest is too short and the braid belt is nowhere near as thick as it should be. I bought it from there because it was very cheap but thats the downside of buying cheap i guess.
