Blackwash is taking black paint, mixing it with water, and going to town on the helmet. Makes it look dirty and used. I'll post pics on how I do it.

And lol! Blacksmithy work...and the gym.

If ya'll will notice...this is the A'den K. Mk. I helmet restored to life. I decided building a whole new helmet for myself while kal has a mostly finished helmet in my garage wasnt right...so I broke part of his in an effort to fix it, and then repainted my old bucket. Dont worry Kal, it's like breaking a bone to reset it. It'll be alright in the end.

I thought that bucket looked very familiar! I love the new paintjob... it's awesome! I love the detail work on the back too... b-e-a-utiful.

so I broke part of his in an effort to fix it, and then repainted my old bucket. Dont worry Kal, it's like breaking a bone to reset it. It'll be alright in the end.

Kal, I feel your pain. I'm shot to hell this week, I have no progress and even less time to finish this than I thought: I need it done AND APPROVED by Dec. 31st so I can march in the fiesta bowl parade. And, in that timeframe we have Christmas (a three day event), a 5 day deer hunt and almost all of my nights after 1600 taken. So, this is gonna get fun!

MUWAHAHA!!! Kal, your words have inspired me!!! I have finished every plate minus the thighs and cod on my new kit. AND almost all are painted. It's been a longgg day, so be patient for pics, vode.

ha ha wilco ner vod, I know the feeling... I've had 2 flights, 9 SIMs, a mountain of paperwork and more "taskers" than I can count in the last 2 weeks... I've been at work at least 12-16 hrs a day every day and some those days have been 0400 shows...with the average being an 0600. I WISH I could go deer hunting ner vod! That sounds like fun!

HA!!! I'm still not even remotely happy with it, but at least it's wearable and meets specs. After Fiesta Bowl, I already have a list of things that will be changed.



AND I will have thigh plates before fiesta bowl. *gag* I hate not wearing those...
