I would love to see the back panels because it makes no sense to me to remove lots of paint details for just a small "hair".

I can think of two reasons straight off the bat.
1. The paint detail in this area appears relatively light in the layering compared to other areas, i.e. what is more objectionable.
2. It's a clear tell on the lineage of the helmet. Whomever cast the helmet would know it had the bristle and call someone out at which point they would have to instantly holler UNCLE!

Yes, I got that point, I'm just interested seeing pictures of it (the left back panel with sand marks), as I have not seen any.

What it boils down to is this, KaanE : You have stepped up to bat for MF in just about every thread he or I have posted regarding any of this. If he is truly the vendor of integrity that you believe him to be, you should be able to acquire pictures of these areas directly from him. You should not have to rely on a 3rd party to acquire those pictures. Coming from any source other than him will come off as biased information, which is simply not the case.

Trust me, I bought a helmet from MF before the RS was released and because you were not willing to sell yours without the ears, I asked through PM to WF too. I was told it had no sand marks and decided to go for it becuase WF's was cleaned and no one told me it was a recast. If it has those sand marks, belive me I'll be the first making a thread here about lies.

None of these recasts have required actual sculpting. The recast, the fugly, the "fan sculpt" "zero lineage" ROTJ have zero sculpting involved. It's all sanding, bondo and adding some inaccurate battle damage.

Well, I got pictures of the master moulded by MF and there were paint details as well as no sanding marks on the left back panel. I'll corroborate this once I get my cast, but it will take a while because of USPS and Covid.

The level of detail on that area of that panel looks so fine that you'd have to be Michelangelo to take that hair out and make sure that the tiny detail went back in. It looks to me like there's hardly any relief to it at all.

I find it humorous that you accuse MachineCraft of recasting. You're misrepresenting his helmet. I'm sure if he claimed it to be a 3D scan or fan sculpt was caught lying you'd be more apologetic.

Thanks Andy! That is a Gen2 from Mould 1 with the first prototype ears. A Gen2 from Mould 2 is in the works and everyone who ordered will receive a Gen2 from Mould 2 that does not have the bristle of death.
