I present to you... order 66! :D
Yes, this will actually be my 66th helmet commission. What a way to start 2023!
I just received the kit this afternoon and it's quite a collection of cool stuff. This is a Minutefett fiberglass helmet which is his cleaned up version of the "lineage" helmets. It arrived with a set of metal ears and stalk, an Elstree Precision aluminum Borden, a set of metal vintage style visor clips, a Terminalfettler RF topper, a smoked visor, and a light kit. Whew!
I'll begin the prep this weekend and we'll be off to the races. I'll be painting this one as a screen used ESB.

I started this build by prepping the metal ears. I scuff sanded them, masked the parts to remain bare metal, then hit them with a coat of self-etching primer.

The helmet is all prepped and ready for some paint.
I used various Dremel attachments, drill bits, sandpaper, a plasma torch, a trained badger with very sharp teeth, and a low yield tactical nuke to get the helmet ready. Simple really. A child could do it. Oh, I also used a child.
It looks so nice and clean like this!

I did the next stage on the back panels. Stenciled, masked, and airbrushed the dark green.
These are the basic shapes. I'll do some tweaking of the edges and add the finer details with a liner brush.
