And here we go! Red time!
This really changes the look of the helmet. Everything starts to appear more cohesive.
This is Archive-X D&H Caboose Red.

I did the keyslot area today. I'll keep working on the damage on the red areas.

I did the center part of the red band. The lighting is terrible in this shot but the sun was like a laser beam this afternoon.

The left section of the band is finished. I still need to add the white thumbprints.

I finished the right section of the red band. Next I'll move onto the front!

I started on the front at the corner of the visor. No crack repair on the screen used lid!

The left mandible is finished! I think this is a good place to stop for the weekend. I'll need some rest before starting on that crazy right mandible! Lol

I finished the upper portion of the right mandible, and now my poor eyeballs have melted.
To me, this has always been one of the make or break areas of the ESB paintjob. There's a crazy amount of tiny chips and details in a relatively small space.
I'm including a collage showing the stages I go through to build the detail up topically.

The Superjedi Dictionary of all that is Fett call this step as mandibalization of the helmet.

Yeah, the right mandible and the left side of the right back panel are the most time consuming and complicated areas.

I finished the rest of the right mandible. A few more small details to go! Still need to do the ears and RF as well.

I had airbrushed the black arch on the RF ear a couple of days ago. Today I airbrushed the white markings on both ears.
