ROTJ Paint-up by Soundwave

This is my first time attempting to paint anything like this. But I'm eager to get to it.

Yesterday I put down the primer coats. As seen here. When my wife came home she saw the helmet, and said she got creeped out cause it looked like a death mask. She's not exactly wrong! Today I'll be sanding and putting down the silver base coats. After which I'll smooth it out with fine steel wool rubbing in a single direction latitudinally to give a slight brushed metal look.

So, silver is a much different beast than the primer. It gets every where, and also pools much easier. As a result I ended up with a few runs that I'll have to sand and blend.

Rattle can. I ended up having to strip it all today, and will have to prep it for paint again. I may just hold off until I make my humbrol paint order in a few weeks, and add silver to that list dropping the rattle can paint.
