Pinkflamingos6 ROTJ Build

So I finished painting up the left gauntlet... I think it looks pretty good, I just feel like something is off. I tried to finish them the same, but it feels like they don't match up. I think because the less damage on the left than the right. Also hoping when I add the greeblies on the left it'll brighten things up. Let me know what ya think!

Both were painted with Rustoleum Claret Wine, misted black, clear coated, then misted with black again.

Looks great. I think once you put on the switches, light, and rocket it will look much better to you.
Agreed!
And yes, even though a small add......adding a legit RED LED to the left gauntlet, does make it bad ass! Or at least I think so!

....and if you have access to them, also a set of MCR's metal nozzles too! If you're curious on the LED, for mine I went to a seller on Etsy who has this.....

For $4.95, I felt like I got my moneys worth. Just make sure to get the RED LED. But, I used hot glue to get it in place and positioned it at the correct angle it so it really shines. The effect was outstanding! Plus I can activate the on/off switch with my gauntlet on my arm too! (Which was mounted with super glue as was the wire management)

The 9v battery is hidden in the flamethrower housing.

I guess one thing about being in flu quarantine is I have plenty of time to myself in my "Boba Cave" lol got my 7CS jetpack kit assembled and some nice QDC and MCR greeblie goodies to go with. Painting this bad boy is gonna be a trip, but I'm looking forward to it!

As for the left gauntlet... this thing is a beast! Must be 4 pounds with all the fixings but I'm loving it. Got the MCR flamethrower nozzles installed and the QDC rocket on top. Just gotta weather these pieces then it's another complete piece to add to the "Boba Box". Only thing I'm not 100% sure on is the placement/reveal of the flamethrower nozzles. You think they should be offset more?

That's an interesting way to mount them nozzles - I like it!

While the space in between the nozzles looks good. I do feel like the bottom nozzle could come into the housing just a bit more along with the top nozzle. Which as you stated will be pretty easy, simply removing one nut and replacing it with fender washers as needed should do the trick for both nozzles. And both nozzles could be moved down slightly so that it is more centered with the gauntlets housing. But looking at how you attached it all together, I'm guessing that is somewhat of a tall order and it'll have you drilling into your L-Bracket to move them down.

Kinda like this. Here is an example of my Boba Maker Gauntlets with the Boba Maker Nozzles attached and how they looked after my MCR conversion....

Iron,
As far as moving them into the gauntlet that's Easy! I can just slide them in since they're magnetized. As far as the vertical position, I can see about pulling the holes down with my dremel to make them more centered in the housing.

Quick little update/ask for help:
I got my jetpack harness kit from BigDane the other day and I'm starting to put it together. Here's what I got, I feel like it sits a tad too high but maybe my pilot holes for the lower clips on my jetpack are too low? Let me know what ya think!

So I ended up ordering some more webbing for the harness to bring it down more. In the meantime I was able to finish up the left gauntlet.

I was also able to paint and attach the greeblie for the cape that IronGladiator was extremely generous in making me. It needs a little more weathering along with the cape, but I'm waiting for the weathering to warm up first.

Thank you for the feedback, my extra strap material arrived today and I was able to put longer straps on. I think where it sits is much better and I have plenty of room for adjustments. Just waiting on the FMF clips and hooks before I make any final adjustments.

I wish I would have known you needed some more webbing material. I have some I could have sent you.

While I wait for the weather to warm up and for more packages I figured I finish weathering my EE-3.

So far I just did a little of the brown that's present in reference pictures. What I really would like to know from anybody that's had a 501st approved blaster is how accurate does the weather have to be? Is it more of a general thing or more specific?

Here's what I got so far
