Yes, i forgot about the yellowish tone on the survivor knife..Will fix that tomorrow..i guess i will have to go a bit heavier with the weathering as well..Thanks :)

My biggest problem at the moment is getting the sonic beam weapon down in the pocket which is pretty small :(

shin tool colors

Anyone have any upclose pics of the actual shin tools? I am trying to do the colors of the markings and want to get them as close as possible.

Ok, I'm new here and butting in, thanks for the pics! :) They are going to help me out a lot. I am building my own 'Femme-Fett' style armor and will hopefully have it done in a few months...I hope I hope I hope!

Does anyone know the thickness of the squeegee. I'm starting on mine this weekend making it from plexiglass, but the only references I have found deal with width and length. TIA

Which area are you looking for thickness? If you post a picture with the areas your looking for I'll measure it for you. I have a Paterson squeege waiting to be finished next winter.

The main handle (part with the finger grip) thickness is the only one I need, I can fudge the rest. Thanks!

The width on that is exactly 3/8". The small area between the handle outsides is 3/16" (between the top and bottom moving parts. If that made any sense). Post some pics when you get done.

I sure will post some pics. Gonna work on the chest armor tomorrow morning, and I have the parts for the flamethrower sitting right here, not the inside gauntlet flame thrower the one with the telephone cord wrapped around it.

I don't think I'm going to do a preproduction suit. Just a little bit of everything. Mine is going to be more of a display item instead of a costume.

Mine to until Halloween rolls around or some other event. Then off the mannequin it will come. I've wanted a life size Don Post (well, used to, till I learned how inaccurate they are) since they came out.

Ok, change of plans I am going to do preproduction I think. Is that the one that is on the cdref where he's leaning forward with the flamethrower out. Has brown gloves and yellow gauntlets?

Those are shots of pre-production #2

Some easy to notice differences are:

Prepro #1 = Orange side pouch.
'Eyes' painted on helmet.
Each breast plate is a different shade of green.

#2= yellow gauntlet w/ coil flame thrower.

#3= All reference photographs of prepro #3
have a 'terrible' blue haze.

THere is one other camera shop that has it for around $26.00 bucks with the squeegee going for about $6.00, about $3.00 cheaper than B&H, but that other shops shipping handling charges were murder!

B&H is the best option for now...with many other places selling the squegee in excess of $35.00.

Well, i just hate to glote, but I picked up the squeegee and stir stick at the Ohio Camera Swap in Cincinnati today for all of $10 for the set, and to top it all off, I got in for free (noramlly $5)

(no they didn't have a Graflex 3 Cell and yes I looked)
