My New Style Mando Armour

I have not had much time these last few days to do much with this project. But I will be doing some work this weekend on my soft parts... will update with pics after I have finished..

I thought I would get off mu butt and do the weathering on my Helmet. Man that has to break your heart, to have to rough up something you have spent loads of time on to get looking good. But enough of that here are some pics of how it looks now. The pics don't show them total amount of scuffing up that has been done, but it is shown in natural daylight....

You may have noticed with all the Leg Armour the elastic straps. They were run though 2 slits made in the armour on each side, and the elastic was thread though and hot glued together to seal them.... Here are the pics from the strapped sides of all the Armour I have used this methord on..... Thighs, Shins, knees, Cod & Back Plate.......

I have been doing some work now on my softparts, I have got a spruce green overall. I have gone to town on my overall with some Black spray paint. The pictures are not that clear on the detail, but I have a new camara coming... so the pics will be better soon... Here is a pic of the overall....

I have also now cut out my ghile/camo netting to make my cloak that will be worn under the Backplate.. Also is the removable hood that can be pulled over my Helmet if needed or tucked away in a pouch.. I have placed a rough Helmet image on top of the hood to show a rough idea of how it will sit....

The ghile/camo net I think works ok with the Helmet.. The net can be pulled over the Helmet, but I think it looks best in the pics below..... what you think ? I have taken a pic with the Helmet on and on without..

After a few set backs, and trial runs with all kinds of different cloak idea's, I think i've cracked it. The Ghile/Camo netting has worked out better that I had invisioned... I cut out around a cloak of mine, to get the shape needed. And then attached an elastic strip from shoulder to shoulder, at the neck section that I could drape around my neck across my front collar. The fit the back plate over it. Here is how it turned out..... hope you like it.......

I now have some of the first pics of how my Armour will look on my vest, I have attached the Armour by using magnets. I did try them using a black vest but they stood out too much. So I think im going to use my olive green one.. here are some pics of how it looks....

Thanks BigJon, I did try a few ideas for the cloak drape and this one works the best. If I was to kneel down i can rape the cloak around my lower body, which would work well while snipping in woodland areas... hehe..

Today has been a perfect for outdoor spaying, so spray i did. I have been working on my weapons today, to make them look more starwarsy. The way they looked is on a post earlyer in this thread, but I do now have the way they look now.... dusting is a great way to get that metal kind of look and here are my main fire arms, I aslo have a pump action as a back up.......
