Bo Katan ACJay's So Cal Bo Katan Build

The following is the last update on my build thread on Mercs. I figured since its nearly done I should post up here Cheers!

A few updated pics. Biggest issue to come up so far is the flight vest. I bought matching leotards and had one altered to have shorts and tshirt sleeves for the flightvest. I bought a large for the vest thinking it should be a little looser to fit the other underneath. Unfortunately now there is way too much material and I'm having to tuck it all in the back. One example of the problems this causes is the left shoulder in the first two pics. It's sagging because of excess material. :angry(
I will either being doing a whole new flight vest or putting in some ties on the back like a corset to keep the vest tight and all the plates in place. Most of the plates are fine but the torso plate under the chest is super loose and irritates both me and my wife.
Either way here are the pics. I'll be knocking out the backpack, backplate and additional pouches this week and hopefully the electronics on the guantlets by next weekend.

Been a bit but every piece is now finished minus the electronics in the gauntlets. I completed one side but upon completing the second and it not working I pulled out the first to see where I went wrong and ended up breaking that one as well... So no lights right now but soon...

Anywho like I said every piece is completed and hopefully we will have an oppurtunity this week for the overall test fit and some APP pics (501st and Mercs!)

Got the pack settled in the other day now I'm just waiting on my seamstress to finish up some last minute tweeks on the bodysuits then it's time for App pics!

Of course. The bodysuit/flightsuit and flight vest are both zentai leotards from milanoo.com that I got on clearance. They were both originally black and I used dark grey and light grey rustoleum to paint them to match the screen references of Bo's faded Charcoal grey soft parts. To make the flight vest I had my seamstress remove the legs at the point where the leather strap wraps around the thigh and the arms at the bicep tricep area to create the t-shirt type sleeves seen on-screen as well as made two holes in the back for the backpack hooks.

Congratulations to you both. Where's the first official troop going to be? Hey ACJay, would you be able to post some photos of how you rigged the backpack strapping system? In particular, I'm trying to visualize what you mean by the holes in the flight vest for the backpack.

I'm in the process of a BK build for my wife so any and all tips are welcome and very appreciated.

I think I see how you rigged the pack in terms of the weight essentially pulling upward on the waist [girdle]. I'm still left wondering what the holes in the flight vest were for though..
