Were MACHINED ears ever made for an MSH?????????

I just wanted to know....I have an original MSH and while the resin ears are perfect IMHO I always wanted a nice set of machined aluminum ones....not poured cast,it's been done,but "machined" .

I'm certain the right ear on the original ESB was machined so I thought it'd be another nice touch for my bucket.

I have metal ears on my MSH, I think they are RA's work, they look alot better than the resin ones that came with it initially

Are they cast,or machined??? I have RA's stalk,but didn't know he made ears....if they are machined,then I'm in.

In my home town, at least when I was back in high school, you could bring things to the machine shop there, and the students could do something like that. I'm kinda curious if they still do that. I could use a few parts myself! Wouldn't hurt to ask. Just call your local high school and see?

I know that none of the high schools in my local area have machine shops....at least none in say a 40 mile radius.........there are "machine shops",but at the rate they want to charge for blueprinting-production is around $250/hr. ....I've dealt with them in the past and even through work. They have so much work coming to them they have no need to solicit or expedite their projects,frustrating really.

To my knowledge there have never been machined ears made for the MSH.

Richies ears, if they are a DP DLX casting, will not fit the MSH helmet, they are not wide, or tall enough.

There are only a couple of helmets that i know of that have metal ears, one of which is mine. A good friend of mine had them cast & they were spot on

Oh well,I haven't glued mine on so they will always be upgradeable if something comes along. I like to plan ahead with props as you never know what will come along8)

Mine is the other MSH with those ears, as my MSH is the one Neil used to have, I just assumed they were RA's ears

I dont think Chris ever owned it. I know Neil(VOS) had the ears and stalk upgraded to metal and painted by RA, but thats about it.

I would love a set of machined ears for my now nearly complete MSH. I made mine upgradable for this exact reason.
