UK paint colours - Confused

I am a little confused because the color list does not marry up, Terminal fetters guide leaves a lot to free handing the paintwork whereas Rafel works provides templates and is specific about the paint job.

This may also sound like a dumb question but google only gives me acrylic for some colors and enamel for other colors?

Is this because I cant find the color?

Should the whole helmet should be painted using one type of paint? If so what acrylic or enamel

I want mine to be 501 approved and i am not that great at free hand work if using terminal fettler's guide, another problem that I may face when my helmet arrives is that I ordered a RS propmasters helmet which is larger than the animefan helmet that Rafel works has based the guide on.

Can anyone help me with a updated 2015 list of UK colors or a like for like using Rafel Works colors ?

I found this useful but it has further confused me:
Convert To Humbrol Humbrol

So this tool lets me convert any colours they have

so far:

Schwarzgrun RLM 70 is 91 Black green matt in Humbrol

Theres this website that converts american colours to close uk colours but some just dont exist :
Colors matching Southern Pacific Lark Dark Grey in all other brands.

So i need to find out who makes:
Bright silver
Base metal
Base metal 2
Rust
Tar- Is this stockholm tar

Some of the paint names were taken from TDH painters, while rust and tar are just names of the dirt-like color on the helmet, so it's up to you what paint/color you use. I would suggest to talk with Garrett (terminalfettler) as he is one of the best painters here and also being from UK, will help you a lot with the colors.

The Bright Silver is a Floquil color.
That line of paints, along with their acrylic versions called Polly Scale, have been discontinued so they're becoming very hard to find.

Strangely enough floquil keeps popping up at couple of hobby stores here in NZ.... Which I always dig through .
