The colors are really starting to pop!

Yeah everything starts to come together once the red areas start to fill in.

I'm working my way across the brow.

1.For the small scratches along the back of the dome, do you actually scratch, or do topical paint?
2. How do you do the thumbprints? Do you lay down paint and then actually smear it with your finger?
3. What material or color do you use for the tape residue? Slightly tinted clear?

1) Yes, lol. It's a combination of both.
2) I don't smear it. It's brushed on.
3) I use a custom blend for that feature.

I finished the right half of the brow. All these little chips and scratches get me into mandible mode!



I also got the base colors on the beautiful metal ears.

I got the upper part of the right mandible done. This is one of the most complex areas on the helmet and it really gives Fett's "face" a lot of character.

Ah, here we go! The face is complete.



It's always satisfying to get to this point.
I'll work on some weathering next, as well as the ear details.
We're getting close now.

I added the pale contrasting gray that's scattered around the helmet.



I also masked and airbrushed the black arch on the ear cap.

I weathered the RF stalk, too. Nice rusty effects!

Test fitting the metal parts. Everything looks great and I'll be detailing the RF topper tomorrow.
Then I just need to mount the visor and it'll be done!

Thanks, Luke! You still have your Terminalfettler ESB? That thing was amazing. I looked back at my records and your PP2 was from 2012... so many helmets ago! Lol

Forgive my untrained eye. I'm having a hard time seeing this stage. I tried comparing to the earlier photos ... Where is the pale grey?
