Superjedi's FPH2 ESB for CDYoung

Hi all! Happy new year 2020!
I'm beginning a new helmet commission this weekend, and this one is kind of a milestone for a few reasons:
1) This is my 40th ESB helmet!
2) I'm hitting number 40 in the 40th anniversary year of The Empire Strikes Back!
3) It's my first commission of the new decade!

Very exciting! :D

This is an FPH2 kit from Wasted Fett. It's the usual excellent quality that he always produces. Cdyoung has gotten a set of Machinecraft metal ears and Borden that he's sending my way, so this build will incorporate some great accessories.

So far I've trimmed everything and given it a good wash down to rinse away all the dust. Next I'll give it a coat of primer.

Got a good amount done on the rear panels. I stenciled and masked, then airbrushed the dark green.
The pics show the stencils marked off, then the areas covered with masking fluid, and then the results.

I'll go back with a fine brush and tweak the shapes a little and add the smaller details. Then I'll begin the gray and silver.

I'm finally back on TDH after some technical difficulties with messaging. Art Andrews was very kind to resolve this issue ASAP.

I know many on the prop forums are quite familiar with the beautiful masterpieces that superjedi produces on his Boba Fett helmets. However, aside from his artistic talent, he's a class act and a true professional within our hobby. We chatted online for over a month with regards to this particular commission, and he responded promptly to multiple inquiries and offered great advice. I'm very thankful to be the future owner of such an amazing piece of SW artwork. Thank you, Eric!

I received the remaining accessories for the helmet.
Here we have an awesome set of machined aluminum ears from Machinecraft Replicas and an RF topper from Terminalfettler. There's also a Machinecraft Borden connector that's not shown here.

Thanks, guys! :)
I finished the cat scratch area. As I've said many times, this is my second favorite feature on the ESB helmet.

I also worked on the turn signal area. It's a relatively small part, but everything adds up to give Fett his signature ESB look.
