Finished the left side of the band. Doesn't look so red anymore, lol.

The right side of the band is finished. That completes all the basic painting behind the ears.



I also did the white thumbprints.

I also did the tape damage effect below the killstripes. It really changes appearance depending on how the light hits it.

It's painted on topically with a fine brush.

Here's the right half of the brow. Lots of tiny chips and scratches in this area, so it makes a great warmup for the mandibles!

Well here it is, the right mandible! My eyes need to be recalibrated after this.

I got the base colors on the ears a couple of days ago.



Here's the lower RF ear detailed up. The small black markings are my dry transfers, which are available for sale in the Cargo Hold.

Finished the left ear today. No part of the helmet is spared from damage!

Tonight I got the black arch airbrushed onto the RF ear cap. My masking method begins with cutting super thin strips of tape to mark the curve, then adding larger pieces to cover the rest of the ear.



I also added some rusty weathering to the RF stalk.

I finished the upper ear this evening.



I noticed a couple of small divots in the RF topper so I applied some Bondo glazing putty.



Once it's dry I'll sand, then prime and paint it.
After that, it's pretty much down to final weathering!
