Superjedi's GMH PP2 "Redux" for Shabad

Well, well, what do we have here?
I'm starting a quick commission on a helmet that I did 12 years ago for member Shabad! This is the first time that I can recall having one of my babies come back to me for upgrades.
This is a GMH that I painted as a PP2. The kit came with resin ears, and Shabad contacted me recently saying that he had some metal ears made by Mojofett back in the day. They're great looking machined aluminum and sized for the GMHs, so they're dimensionally different from the metal ears made more recently for the "lineage" helmets.
I'll be painting/weathering these up and replacing the resin ears.
The upgrade also includes a Terminalfettler RF topper.
Here's the parts laid out with the helmet.

I know! Sweet, right?

I did some test fitting of the parts this morning and discovered that I had to redrill a couple of the holes in the ear platforms so the new ears would be aligned correctly.
Now everything fits great! The next step will be to do a little scuff sanding on the ears to get them ready for paint.

Ok, as I mentioned, this was a quick commission on the metal PP2 ears. They're all done!
I gave the parts a scuff sanding, and then misted them with some very thinned down colors. I started with an Earthy tone applied randomly, then hit them again with a medium/ dark gray.
When they were dry, I weathered them using fine wire wool and the very tip of an X-acto blade in just a couple of spots.
I painted the RF topper in satin black and glued in two dummy 5mm LEDs.
Here's the re-completed helmet. Hope there are some Pre-pro fans out there!
