Hey everyone!
I am working on a BoBF Diamyo costume and trying for the BRL cert with the mado mercs. My main question is, how are you all modifying 3D print files? I bought Galatic Armories files but most of them wouldn't work for the MMCC even though they were great files, they just didn't fit the CRL/BRL requirements. So I found a seller on Etsy that was super close. However the files come in WAY to big and I have to scale them down to 80% to fit correctly. After scaling them down some of the files are not the correct thickness. For instance the shoulder armor needs to be at least 3mm thick and the files I have at 80% are pretty thin at only 2.8mm thick. I am decent with CAD programs like Auto CAD and Fusion 360 but adding thickness to a file is nearly impossible.
I bought most all of the metal pieces required for the BRL cert in the MMCC but I already know that the holes for the metal parts won't fit and I will need to modify the files before print. How the heck are y'all doing that? Some I can handle like the knee darts, the hole is smaller thatn the metal pieces so I can just print them and drill the hole out more. But on some like the metal darts the hole is too big for the metal darts.
I've tried to contact my local chapter but have got no response in over a week now.
