just trying to finish up a helmet that had a pickupdate changed on me.
I didn't know we could change the pickup date. :confused

LOL, well all joking aside, I am killing my self to try and meet everybody's deadlines right now.Needless to say once I fulfill my current painting responsibilities I will be unofficially retiring from painting for a while.

Seriously, Wow! Great job your doing on this man. It's great to see that your impimenting detail that is otherwise obscure that most ppl wouldn't see or care about from 6 ft away. This is the difference between a "paint job" and a "Work of Art" bro! Sorry I didn't stop by here sooner :confused RIP is going to be one PROUD POPPA!

I am definitly trying to make this more then just a "reproduction" but rather something of a collector peice for RIP. Just like if you pay top dollar for a MR helmet, gun or sabor... you want it to look like you stole the sucker from the lucas archives!
You've had this three months, how bout finishing it?
I have but keep in mind the mods to this helmet were extensive... it dosnt even appear to be an MS1 theres so many changes to it. All of these mods have been fine tuned and tweeked to Ripcodes liking. He has been more then patient and the outcome will be onre of the better ROTJ hlmets on this board and IMO one of the best 3 out there from what I have seen.
It will be worth the wait.
I am sacraficing my own helmet completion for my own halloween costume to be debued at my own party to see that its completed in a timely manor for him.

The waiting is the hardest part!
A slight update as I get this back on track from the Dcon madness that hit me (and I didnt even go??? WTF)
Any who... I am goiong to finish the cheek tonight, I waited becase it requires a mist of gunmetal and grey while masked as dose the dent so I will do that tonight.
The big scratch requires a few divits I didnt see before last night so I will ad those tonight as well. I am going to finsh this off in sections... right side, left side, back, top... them my discolorations, weathering (misting) and any other bells and whistles before installing the visor.
Enjoy... I will post another good set of pics this weekend.
