RBF Mandalorian S1 E1 costume build, scratch build (80%)

Got the shoulders padded and attached. It's a combo between a carabine hook and a Velcro strap that's folded op.

I love how the padding finished the look; shoulders are a little broader which also puts everything else in the right proportions.

Got the cartridges 3d printed from a friend, I was amazed by how this things really finish the look of the torso section. I wanted to scratch build them, but I would never get them all as neatly the same as these ones. They're printed in black and I then added a mist layer of chrome.

Base is done, just layers of pvc cut and sanded to match shape and size. Nothing has been filled yet and they miss alot of parts/details as of yet but I'm glad with the fit and proportions so far.

Sanded, filled, primed. Got some room for the LEDs in the front display on the right gauntlet. Still need the flamethrower and the 4 darts. This is just primer:

Well I wanted to see what it all looked like if I wore the whole thing myself so far. That also meant I had to finish the gloves and hand armor. I think it's coming together quite nicely!!

Okay I just had to do this... we were on vacation with family and I ran into this guy at the toy store. He was a little bit small and I suppose he still is but.... well I like to think kids will love this during a troop

It's the Hasbro animatronic and it is so cute!!

Did some editting then made him a new tunic. Next up is painting the head, adding hair and weathering the tunic. You can get an idea if you look up my Mattel version

Filled the seams along the ears, editted the mouth sculpt to get his smile out. An overall paintjob and gave him some hair. Weathered the tunic and here he is:

Love this version of the Mando . Love how the colors contrast the others. I may be in the Minority but I prefer this version over the newer one. Which is why I purchased the Mk1 statue just love looking at it . And your work, stellar man just perfect!

Hello everyone! Been some time, lot of stuff to do for Ubisoft, but as soon as I had some time I went straight back to Mando.
Sinds this summer the chest plate bothered me. I now realise I made it using shots taken at SDCC I think from a lower angle. Because of that the upper corners of the plate did not point upwards but rather curved downwards... yeah I know, stupid. It was also a bit on the small side so... here is the new one made it out of PVC and also painted it a tiny tad darker to match a wee bit better with the gaunts and shoulder. I think it makes a world of difference what do you think?

Daylight shot, I'm quite satisfied. Now figuring out the pattern for the pants and then slowly move on to the greaves.

Ok that went allright. The hardest part was where to put the extra pieces and velcro for the armor before closing it up. Made it really high, with elastic straps over the shoulder to keep it in place.

I wish I had your sewing skills. I was thinking the exact same thing last year when I was working on my costume, why pants and not a coverall style? I ended up using a pair of suspenders on mine.
Going to add some extra material to the cummerbund on mine to make it more of a vest. All this helps to keep everything in place.
