Just having a look about for ideas on scratch-built boots and came across your post. I originally though this was gonna be the same as the usual 'work-boot-into-boba-boot' idea but the finished item looks great!! Really good job! I bought myself some Clarks Wallabees (the sole looks the same to me!!) so I'm gonna scratch build using them as a base, I'll be taking photos of progress to post - but wish I'd seen your tutorial first. Either way I think I'll be taking tips from your post anyway, I was getting all worked up about finding shoe lasts and templates and patterns but I'm just gonna throw myself in at the deep end and glue the fabric straight to them as you did (I was thinking the stitching was gonna be a nightmare!) Being on the same side of the pond as you, where did you get the fabric glue from?
