New "Rando Mando" build thread

New Hunter
New guy here, posting a build thread as I promised in the introduction section. Hopefully I've picked the right place.

My goal for this build is to build the outfit of a non-specific Mandalorian, meaning not an exact copy of any screen-used setup. This is probably a later period Mando.

I am buying a bunch of the pieces due to various constraints - time, space, skills, tools, etc. - but I'm also doing some of the work myself from scratch. My big blaster rifle was entirely printed, built, painted and weathered by me. I bought my gloves and boots but then needed to weather them myself. I've bought a 2-piece flight suit which is a snug fit like I wanted, but I'm going to weather those pieces up as well. I'm planning to have a cap, which hopefully my kid will sew up for me. :)

This build will follow my personal philosophy, which is to have everything fit "within universe" but not necessarily meet 501st or Mandalorian Mercenaries stringent requirements, especially where those would infringe on anything I happen to to think is cool or creative.

OK, that's enough of the TLDR... I'll quit there, just adding that I hope to update this thread as the pieces of this puzzle come together. I'll post "build" pictures where I have them, if anyone wants those.

Speaking of photos, here are before-and-after shots of my gloves and boots. I printed, modified and painted the glove armor pieces myself. The boots arrived with some weathering, but I wanted more than the shine lightly sanded off so I gave them a few rounds of various weathering techniques. Also there are a couple of photos of my completed DLT-19X heavy blaster rifle. I customized it by making the barrel about 8 inches shorter than full length, since a slightly more compact weapon appealed to me on several levels. I can list other details if anyone wants them.

Still much more to come...
