Over all that was a really good troop as they all are!! This has been the best decision I've made in along time to join the 501st. As a Star Wars nerd/fan I get to live out being this character and make people happy at the same time is the best feeling ever!! Stay tuned for more 501st shenanigans!

They got alittle souvenir lol!

I finally installed a couple of needed upgrades. BH-51512's rangefinder kit and MCR's metal rangefinder stalk, jetpack stabilizer, and jetpack beacon. I built a sound glove loaded with Temuera Morrison's Battlefront 2 Boba sounds. This should hold me over till I receive my Micom unit in the coming months. I also installed a light in my gauntlet to mimic the ever ready minilight...check it out!!!

Nice job man! I also have one of BH-51512 ’s range finder kits they are pretty awesome, eh?

You’re looking at getting a MiCom too huh? They look pretty nice. I’m kinda on the fence about them. Just curious, but what are your thought about the pros and cons on em’?

Ya I just installed it after I got tired of seeing everyone else's with there's haha...I'm on the waiting list for the Micom. Me personally I don't care for Temuera Morrisons voice as boba but that's the voice everyone knows now. The Micom unit has over 80 lines of dialog all broken into different groups so I won't even need my mic anymore. I guess the only con I have is having to figure out the buttons with the gloves on. The unit I made only has four buttons and I discovered that it's pretty hard with the puffy boba gloves.

See, I was curious how it’d be with the poofy gloves too. Also I know the speaker is separate. What are your thoughts on that? Where are you gonna hide it? Most people put it in the hip pouch, but then a voice coming out of your hip is a little weird in my opinion. I had a small mesh pouch sewn under the gut armor to drop a speaker into. I had an el cheapo 10 watt mic/speaker combo and it worked good, but in highly noisy places, wasn’t very effective. The idea was so that the mic wouldn’t interfere or produce that annoying feedback. Again, it worked even at full volume, which was good. Do you happen to know the max watts the MiCom outputs at?

Someone needs to develop/integrate a tiny high output speaker into the center Diamond armor piece that goes in between the two chest plates.

I use a aker 1505 in my hip pouch which is super loud. Right now my setup is wired which sucks but the Micom rep recommended two wireless adapters on Amazon for the Micom. I don't know the output of it but I'm sure it's fine. It does take some getting used to from my first suit up with it so far.

Wireless would be the way to go. At the con I went to last December there was a Din Djarin there who didn’t even make an attempt to hide his setup, pretty sure it was an Aker (which was the el cheapo setup I had, but heavily customized), but he simply used the supplied lanyard out in the open and around his neck. With the wired mic going up into his helmet. Hahaha.

One might say: “That isn’t the way!

Yesterday's troop was AWESOME!!! We went to DNA Comics in Humble,TX and got to meet and hangout with Ray Park!!! Check it out!

We had about 30 members from Mandomercs, 501st, and Rebel Legion all show up so we did shifts. I handled for alittle bit then I put my kit on. Plus I want to get a photo and my phantom menace poster signed. I gave one of my Trooping cards to him as a gift and he absolutely loved it and said "Well im definitely taking a picture with Boba later!"

Ray is such a nice guy...super friendly and just wanted to keep talking and sharing experiences, doing his Saber twirls, and just being very positive the entire 4 hours he was there. After I got my picture and autograph it was time to get suited up!

Look at him go!

Alittle Mandomerc action!

He even signed another autograph for Boba!

It was such a good time meeting the man, the myth, the legend. I mean when my mom took me to see phantom menace all those years ago he single handedly triggered my love for Star Wars and thats why I troop today! It couldn't have been a better troop than that!!

Nice, I've been wanting to get myself a MiCom unit. They look slick! You sure you want it in your right hand though? I would think like a magician whereby you'd want some kind of misdirection going on while you are holding your EE-3. And with your left hand engage the sound file buttons.

Plus for me, the right hand is where I have one button already for my Servo'd RangeFinder action. Pressing it with my ring finger while touching my ear cap with my thumb. I know we don't see Boba actually engage his RangeFinder in either the ESB or ROTJ, but we do in Season 2 of the Mandalorian...

For me, I imagine this is how it's done no matter what Mando style helmet you have that would have a RangeFinder on it. And then in my left hand have the buttons for the voices. That is of course assuming you have a Servo'd RangeFinder, Haha!
;)

It's has a bit of misdirection with the right hand because they only see me holding the blaster not pushing buttons at the same time. I have the wireless servo mounted in my gauntlet on the same hand and it all works out pretty good. My next troop will be the 2nd time using everything on that one hand so I think it'll be fine lol. As for the micom I'm like #40 and it won't be shipping till like June-July unfortunately so this will have to do until then.

Hey Fetts how's it going!! Yesterday was one of the smallest troops I've been on since I started. We were at the UTMB campus in Galveston. I met up with Bum one of our tie fighter pilots in my squad. He was really cool and we had a great time...check it out!!
