Such an awesome time was had I'm sure! The 501st Garrison Titan here in WA has a similar "Star Wars Night" with the Seattle Mariners too. I was talking with the GWL who is helping me with my daughters costume, and she said it was one and done for her. Her and her husband are super/mega Star Wars fans so the 501st seems like a great fit for both of them. They are both in their mid-50's and she went a Boushh that night. Well, apparently there was an incident where she found herself around many drunk folks and one guy thought it'd be funny to jump on her back and go for a ride. Obviously.....not cool. That incident caused her back to blow out and knees too. She had to sit on the ground for about 45 mins before she was able to get helped up - too much pain.
I know not all troops are like that - but something to be wary of. Again, certainly looks like you had a great time! Also that Stormtrooper is super tall!
I can imagine that 5 hours of that is torture. Even the 3-Hour Unofficial Troop I did on May the 4th was taxing, only thing you can do is maintain discipline and suck it up. Hahaha! I'm 46 now, but I can recall doing a "Ruck March" in the US Army, 12 miles, 50lb backpack and you need to have it completed in 3-hours! No way I can do that now, I'm confident I wouldn't even be able to pass an Army PT Test today - Hahaha! I did start P90X this week though! View attachment 223735
Ya we had a good amount of handlers with us. I had a few drunks put there arm around me and one of my voice lines is "don't get in my way" and I quickly snatched the dudes arm off me. He was like OMG I'm sorry lol...most people were pretty respectful and our handlers did an awesome job. It definitely was taxing mainly on my sholders and lower back. I'm sure none of the guys portraying fett in the movies stayed in costume that long hahaha. Ya that trooper was i believe like 6'6". They didnt want him next to our vader haha. I thought about doing p90x again more power to you Iron I hope you can complete it!
I completed it once - and I was absolutely amazed by the results! Ya just gotta stick with it! I think me being in the military helped with that physical fitness discipline/mindset. But I'm 6'2", I wanna get this big ole tire off my midsection. And yeah, right now, my body is hurting badly as it is trying so desperately to recover.
Thats awesome!! Ya I wish my group would've went down on the field since that was my first Astros troop. Maybe next star wars night...ya I know would've been a good opportunity to take a picture with since he had a helmet on!
Hey fellow Fetts!! Long time no see! More 501st goodness for ya! Yesterday I did another troop at the Lonestar flight museum...They had to have us come back lol. I got a bunch of photos to post so enjoy!
This was the whole gang from the 501st, Galactic Academy, Saber Guild, and Rebel Legion
