Knee armor build

I decided to build my own knee armors. I cut them from pvc and heatgunned them into shape. bondo fill and bondo glaze plus sanding and then added the battle damage plus steelwooled them.

More pics in the coming but here is what i have so far.

I might make runs of these cold cast/regular/whatever when i get done.

Those look great! Are you gonna pour them in rubber or what material were you thinking?

They are being molded right now in silicone, probably to be casted in urethane or fiberglass, depending on whats going on.
Im going to probably get aluminum powders this weekend for CCing them as well.

Ive got one knee comepletely molded and jacketed now, the other one should be comepltely molded/jacketed in a couple days, ill post picks of that stuff shortly.

Some more progress pics, Also i have done the CC layer and another gelcoat layer on it last night, fiberglass layer this evening and maybe even a pull tonight (or tomorrow morning).

Clearly in need of a paint job but here is the primary pull.
Next up to clean up the pull of excess material.

Nice job looks like a clean pull. They look real sturdy.
