My girth didn't shrink that much when I boiled it, either. Maybe a half an inch.

Ok guys, here is the skinny on the Mohair girths, it looks like you should call and specificaly call and order the girth and specify you want a SOLID color. If you just order from the site and specify the color you want, you will get the color/white striped girth. Here is an email I got from them.

Hi,

We are trying to intercept your order and change the girth to a solid maroon per you request. However, it is important that you
know that it will not be a Mohair Blend but a Poly Blend. Mohair blend cord is not available in any color but the natural. The Poly
Blend is available in solid colors.

Please let us know if this is acceptable to you.

No, the mohair only comes in natural color.

I don't know if there is a difference in the poly and Mohair as far as looks.

I got mine Yesterday. It's AWESOME!
Great color and Solid Maroon. I got the Mohair Blend and compared it to the CD ref and looks like the one. It's the same as the 100% mohair, just not as itchy. will post color pics asap.
They really are nice people. Emailed me a couple of times.
Thanks and good luck.

Did somebody decide what the webbing was in the back? It's different in MOM than in other pictures, so I am not quite sure. Was it the girth extender?

Choose a girth size 3-4 inches smaller than you wear on pants. If you're a 34", order a 30". That way, you could add the extender straps in the back for accuracy.

The color, order it ALL MAROON, I prefer to order it by phone, based on the comments from batninja and others about sending the wrong colors or pattern. Just my 2 cents.

Boba Phat has a link somewhere about where he ordered his, price and options...already maroon as well. He did it by phone.

I ordered mine online, I just put in the comments box that i wanted it All Maroon. They emailed to verify this. It took less than 10 days from order to door step. Not bad.
Hopefully everyone else will get theirs as fast.
Will post pics tomorrow.
Thanks,
Robert E.

Sorry, my digital camera was craping out on me. managed to take 4 pics.
It's the folder titled girth color and while non of them do it justic (my pics) the one titled "color no flash" best represents the color.
Hope this help :)
Thanks,
Robert E.

Maybe if someone could draw me a picture, I could figure out how to post pics with my posts.

That looks really good!! Better than I imagend.... I can't wait to get mine.

To post pics type the following command exactly (just don't use the spaces I put in)

[ image ] YourPicURLhere [ /image ] if I didn't put the spaces in, the thread would think I was trying to post a pic.

Hmmm, I used leather belts on mine, Lisa, ala' the publicity pics. The MoM display used nylon webbing. I think I may look into the extender.

I am a bit confused here. Are these poly or are they mohair? If they are poly that is why they aren't shrinking when you boil them. Mohair shrinks considerably. Poly doesn't as a general rule. I'd love to see some pics of these!

The mohair one I have shrank 4", but that one I'm not going to use since I bought one of the Maroon ones.
The All Maroon ones are a Mohair blend.
I have a couple of pics of the mohair blend maroon one

On a side note Braks, got the cheek detail.
Thanks, Robert E.
