Black Smudge Weathering

Greetings my fellow vode


Ive got a question that i havnt been able to answer and hopefully someone can help me out :confused

Im not sure what the correct term would be (could be carbon smudges or something like that) But ive noticed on weapons and armor (especially white) has carbon like smudge marks on it. I can see why it would have this but my problem is as follows...

How do you create those markings?

On the softparts, I use black Kiwi.

really? lol how in the world do you do that?

I alternate between a large and small kiwi brush, then work it in with my hands. For hard lines, I put a crease in the material, in the shape and length I need, first.
