Jet Pack Want to create smoke through my thrusters

I want to build a device that I can contain in the jetpack that produces either constant light smoke coming out of the jetpack or at the push of a button can produce a jet of smoke/co2 out of the thrusters.

I think this would add a neat element to trooping. Any gadgeteers around that can point me to a tutorial?
