Thanks, I do believe it was the "extended" visor. I tried the "deluxe", but it was just a bit too big. After the first two visor disasters I am over-joyed that this one fit as well as it does!
Greetings All, well to say the least it was a real long, exhausting night here last night getting the silver damage stenciled and liquid masked onto the old bucket here. I am glad I did not document the process because it was such an ordeal getting the helmet to where it is right now. But I did take "after" pics though...
Next up will be to get out the old Airbrush and get on the next color, humbrol 79. Hope I have enough thinner!!
Well I just learned the hard way that the humbrol enamel paint needs to be thinned out really well in order NOT to gunk up an airbrush...(UGH!!) The humbrol 79 when it came out of the jar was REALLY thick and I had less than .05 ml of thinner left unhand. So in my haste to keep this wagon train a-movin' I ended up gunking up my airbrush and now need to wait for more thinner to arrive so I can get it to the correct consistency and try again. Lesson Learned!!!
Since I am gonna have to wait until more thinner comes in to go any further on this, I will turn my attention to some other projects I can take care of...when the weather gets a little nicer outside. Still a bit windy and chilly down in my neck of the woods.
The back panels turned out great! You're doing an awesome job, keep it up! Can I request a pic of the back panels in natural light? Just for some comparisons. Thanks mate!
