tjr2d2's "Gotta Start Somewhere!" ESB Build

Ooooooh NICE! Really looking good.
Everything looks like it's where it should be.
This is the part where every time you peel the masking off... it feels a bit like Christmas! ;)
Great stuff buddy! Keep em coming!

Thank You! Taking the masking off is my favorite part of this technique! :)

Are you taking the masking off while the paint is still wet? Or waiting for it to fully cure? How many coats are you putting on be for moving to the next color?

Greetings, to answer your questions; no, I wait until the paint is cured for about half a day before I pull the masking off, I do not want to chance the wet paint making a mess (especially on the back panels). As for the number of coats of paint, so far I have about three layers of each color depending on how well it covers.

Hope this answers your questions. Feel free to ask anytime.

going to wait until tomorrow to hit it with some 0000 steel wool and then give it some time before I mask off the bottom cheeks to paint the upper cheeks black. This will be it for today. Again, thanks for checking in and be well.
