Shipping prop guns to Canada - Help!

I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada and had one of Spidey's blaster kits shipped to me last year.

I had no problems at all with either customs or the timeliness of shipping at that time.

Only thing to be careful of is if they search your package, and they find that the value doesn't jive with the declared value . . . you're in a bad way.

Well I'm talking actual value vs. intrinsic value.

I had a mystery helmet ($200) and some FP gauntlets ($250) shipped to me with a value of $40. If you look at these things unfinished, one looks like something you'd eat chips out of and the rest looked like something you'd throw away.

There's no WAY a humorous government employee would think anyone would have paid $450 for that lot.

Same with a spidey blaster kit I imagine. It'll be unfinished bits and bobs that won't look like they're worth more than $20.

Now, if you bought a DVD player and marked it's value as 50¢, that clearly doesn't jibe and then they'd take some liberties with your fee.

Cheers!

I received my Spidey blaster kit also. It arrived in record time and I didn't even have to pay customs fees.

That was a refreshing change.

Cheers!
