Well... time to order a raw cast of this. I just can't afford the $500-$600 price tag of metal ears since I want to troop in this helmet.

Cost really. Once I get hit with delivery and also import taxes RS worked out the same price for UK. The paint job was a redundancy present to myself.

I just ordered the painted version and was asked if I’d like the the grey colour or white gel coat?

I’m very confused aren’t they all painted the same using the same base colour?

Im fairly sure this was covered in their latest youtube video about the bobas.

Its believed white was used on the original prop so thats why they are offering it. Im pretty sure this will be standard on all painted helmets.

I got the email last night. £195 if you get a set of ears with the raw cast. Don’t know if that was for early pre-orders or all though.

£250 separately.

I got a similar email and I was really late to the party. Painted helmet has a sweet deal, so I couldn't pass.

yeah, they're even cheaper for a painted helmet, though it might only be for current orders, dunno.
