RotJ Glove Dye Color

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get my RotJ Fett semi-functional in time for Halloween. I'm probably going to be getting a pair of white parade gloves and dying them (unless there's a good, low-cost option for grey gloves) and I'm wondering about the dye color. Should the color of the gloves match that of the flight suit, or be lighter/darker? Is there a specific dye color/amount/process people have found works best? Thanks in advance!

I used Rit dye "Pearl Grey". I used a little at a time until I got the shade I liked. I think it took me 3 rounds. Best bet is to use reference pics to get the shade as close as possible.

Question on this. do you just reuse the same dye water or each round did you add a little bit more of the dye. I've never done dying of material

I did mine in the washing mashing so there was no dye mix left since it drained after the rinse cycle. If you plan on doing it in the sink or bathtub I think you could just let it soak longer to get the desired results. Not 100% certain on that though.

Did you use liquid dye, or powder dye? Looks like there are two options, and having never dyed anything before, I don't know which is the one I want.
