You can always try any auto supply store in your area for those paints, sometimes even a Mart (Wal or K) will have them.

thanks for the tip MaxPlague.

would it be by the spray paint or the automotive section?
Thanks again. :)

Oh, and i was wondering if anyone using the Nintendo Zapper for their sidearm, would show me a pic of how they painted it. and how do you go about taking the cord out? do you just yank it out or is there another method?
any input would be Great!! :)

It would be in the automotive section with all the bondo and other body work stuff ie. touch-up paint, and such.It is essentially touch-up spray paint anyhow so it should be with all that stuff if the store is carrying it :)

'm using the zapper for mine. I haven't painted it yet but will soon. To take the cord out, undo as many screws from the bottom as possible then cut the wires on the inside so that there is nothing left sticking out (you'll understand when you do it). I would also recommend removing the light grey pieces on the top. Simply unscrew them and fill in the holes with something (not sure what yet, let me know if you figure it out)

I know that the ESB Fett sidearm has yet to be positively identified, and it looks pretty much like we never will given the existing state of ESB Fett reference materials.

However, take a peek at what I scored:

This is an old (70's I think) Monteverdi TV Sports Game pistol (model E-825 if you're interested). I think this will look pretty dang nice parked in my holster once I give it a few mods.

You guys like?

Got it on good ol' Ebay for $20. It came with a whole game console and controllers...but this pistol was all I was interested in :)

I like that! I'm going to convert an NES zapper for sale with my first suit, but I'm definitely going to look for one of those. Great shape and more 'star warsish' with more detail than the zapper!

Great find,
Thanks!

Boba Freekk: Well, I might just cast it and do my modifications on the copy instead (still not sure though).

Phil: Yeah, I couldn't pass this up...it looked so much closer to what I imagined the "real" one would be.

Carbon Chamber: It sure would be a load off my mind if this did turn out to be what was used originally...that would be really cool.

The one thing that's missing (aside from the paint job) that I can see is the flared heel rest on the bottom of the grip, but that can be added easily enough.

Spidey2222: heh, isn't that just the way of things? I've seen 3 of these on Ebay so far, all of them sold for about $20-$30...I hope when the next ones hit that they can be had for a reasonable cost.

Was the origin ever nailed down? I thought it was a spear gun.

This one is definitely cool though, I can't find one on ebay though.

It never was nailed down, the whole speargun thing came about because it was initially thought to be one of the Nemrod spearguns used by the guards on Bespin. I still wouldn't discount that idea though, it could very well have been a speargun...but no one knows for sure yet.

This is pretty much all we have to go on right now (aside from the Marmit pistol which may or may not be correct):

BountysHunted: I just searched for "game gun" I think, then stumbled across the Monteverdi system.

Keep checking every week or so, I'm sure more will come up (I hope).

Great score, Max! Should be a good alternative side-arm.

This is the closest speargun I have found (maybe we need a vintage model of this??) Like Max said, who knows for now...
