Mounting the side piece on the Right Gauntlet

The pics all show it straddling the seam between the 2 halves. Is that where everyone puts it? It fits flush above the seam on mine but would require some serious sanding and fitting to get it to straddle both as not really having a ton of attaching surface

I've got mine right above the seam, like you have in the pic above. Honestly I thought that's where everyone mounted it.

The real one definitely goes over the seam but a lot of the builds I saw had it above which is where I think I am going to leave it. Seam aside , when it is above the seam it looks like it sits correctly in relation to the upper details.

Screen shots, like you said, show it straddled. But I know with my RKD v2 gaunts I located mine just like yours. It was definitely a better distance away from the gauntlet details located that way on mine. Suppose some of it has to do with how you trim the top/bottom to fit, but also has to do with the way the parts are made and how they fit each one individually.

Yes it depends how you trim them. Remember that Jeremy was very thin, so they were pretty shallow so it overlapped the seam on the real ones. I have mine overlapping the seam as well but i also trimmed the tops of my gauntlets a little more shallow to match the distance from the top details on the screen used ones and still be able to overlap it.

it also should sit a little further back. the front of that piece should line up with the "line/corner" detail that goes down towards the seam, or close to it..depends on the particular sculpt...and you should be removing that little square on the opposite side, as ive marked off here:

Thanks! I was wondering about the little square as well since some people leave it on and I did see a thread where MOW pointed out it should be trimmed.
