Jetpack Question- Removable Thrusters?

I have a MoW jetpack that I've been working on, and I'd like to make the thrusters removable. Any tips/suggestions? I've used the search function, but haven't had much luck. I made the rocket removable with a dowel screw and wingnut, but will need the thrusters to be removeable as well to fit into the Stanley mobile box I bought to store/transport my costume. I used the PVC pipe combo that MOW recommends and the thrusters are made to be pretty close to the right size to stick in a PVC elbow. I just wrapped the thruster tip a couple of times with painters tape to give it a little more thickness and they stay snugly in the internal PVC pipe assembly for trooping. Just pop them in when I need to and out when I pack up my kit.

I have a MOW pack as well. I actually glued a panel behind each hole (inside the pack of course) at the depth i wanted the thrusters to go and attached an earth magnet to it. I also attached an earth magnet to the end of the thruster so they just pop right in and attach to the magnet Im able to store my pack with all the parts in it. The top section of the rocket on MOWs pack, i also use a magnet instead of gluing it. The magnets are strong enough that i can lift the entire pack by that top rocket without it giving way. It all breaks down nicely and i can fit it in my tote without a problem
