After starting this project nearly a year ago, I’ve finally got to a stage where I’ve got a passable Boba Fett costume that is mostly complete. Still some more minor bits to do, but I’m happy with where it is for now. What do you think? It’s not 501st but I think it still looks pretty legit! Sorry for the poor photos, I should’ve stood against a more plain background.

Looking pretty good! Now that you got a great base you can start upgrading for 501st if that's a goal!

Looking good so far! The only things that stand out to me are the boots and gloves, other than that it's looking nice! Like Buda said, you have a great base.

Like BudaFett and as PinkFlamingos6 mentioned, this is a great start! Just the few nitpicky things I see (and you're probably aware of them too) are the:
1) Boots - The seem a lil bit off in appearance and will be needing the toe spikes.
2) Gloves - Also seems to be missing the white pads.
3) Mythosaur Decal - It may be me, but it seems to be a bit on the large side.
4) Right Hip Pouch - Needs to be more brown (Left hip pouch seems fine).
5) Both Hip Pouches - Need to appear to be hanging off of the Ammo Belt.
6) Ammo Pouches - Needs to be a quantity of 8 pouches.
7) Boba Thong - Missing (I was totally against wearing it at first too - Hahaha!)
8) Ankle Spats - Could use a bit more darkening of grey.
9) Helmet - Is that a Black Series ESB Bucket? (Or is your intent to go for the RoTJ SE?)

Other than that, and to echo the others, you've got a great base. Just needs a bit of tweaking/upgrading.

Thank you! 501st quality isn’t an immediate goal (need to let my wallet recover!) but who knows over the years to come? There are definitely things I’d like to acquire and bits I want to upgrade.

Cheers for the praise! Yep you’ve got nearly all the missing details and improvements to be honest. There’s more work that needs to be done on the jetpack too.

1) They’re just plastic-leather cheap’ish ones from China. They do the job for now and yes I’ve bought some toe spikes to add to them which should help them look more legit!
2) I wasn’t prepared to spend the money on proper gloves at the time and so these are just cotton parade gloves that I dyed grey. I would love to have the proper ones at some point.
3) It is a bit big I agree. The guy from Etsy I bought it from got the sizing a bit wrong. But it won’t be noticeable to the layman so will do for now.
5) Again, due to budgeting, I opted for a cheap costume belt that wasn’t true to the real deal. As a result, the pouches were a lot larger and so I couldn’t fit 8 comfortably onto the belt.
6) Haha, yeah I suppose I could add that on.
8) It is a black series helmet yes, and my inspiration to do the whole build actually! As a kid I always wanted to have a movie accurate, super good-looking boba fett costume but realised it wasn’t something you could simply buy outright (unless you had a lot of money). At the time I thought the rubies supreme costume looked good but as an adult I can see it’s a pile of **** and way overpriced. Anyway, I got myself the black series helmet last year and after a few weeks of admiring it thought, how awesome it would be to have a whole costume that looked as good. So then I set off to fulfil my childhood dream.

It's cool to hear where we all got our inspiration from in this crazy cosplay business. In 1995 my then girlfriend (now my wife) bought me for Christmas a Don Post Boba Fett helmet. Which sat proudly displayed for many years on my shelf. Then in 2019 I took my then 8 year old daughter trick or treating. In our small city, on the main drag, we came across a set of Halloween displays on peoples lawns, with grown adults in costumes, featuring Disney Princesses, Disney Pixar, Pirates, Super Heroes.....and Star Wars. The idea being that your kids can stop by and meet with the characters and take a picture.

I then noticed a guy from the community nearby and told him how I thought this was a pretty crazy endeavor. He replied "Yeah and it's even more crazy when you're the guy in charge of all of this!" I told him of my wanting to put together a movie quality Boba Fett costume. I was like "Wow! So listen, do you have need for a Bounty Hunter in your Star Wars display next year?" He said "I would absolutely love to see Boba Fett next year!" And so began my journey.
