Cape ESB Civil War Blanket Cape

New Hunter
Hey guys! I’ve been watching this forum for a while now and recently started my first ESB build. As I’ve been researching, it’s been difficult to find a lot of information on the original ESB cape. I know there has been much debate and speculation that the original was made from an army issue field blanket.

I came across this listing for a wool Civil War era field US issue blanket with almost the exact coloring as seen on film; and I was able to find a factory who still uses vintage looms to create reproductions of these types of blankets and would be able to create the capes custom (with accurate sizing and stripe width/placement).

I would like to have one made for myself, but obviously they require a minimum order which is 50 capes. The price is about $150 as they are all handmade on vintage looms. I will start an interest list and assuming we can fill the other 49 slots, will move ahead with having them made. Please let me know if you’re interested or has ever input on the design. Thanks!

I'm kinda interested/curious I need to see some samples!
No problem! I’ll put you on for now. Getting dye samples and fabric samples in the mail soon. As far as a final product sample, I have to check with the factory and see how they handle that. Should be able to accommodate but I just wanna make sure
