V3 holster design

Well it was bound to happen because I can't just leave things alone.
The V3 is on the right hand side in the comparison pics.

The changes that were made to hopefully achieve more accuracy:

1. Reworked the holster tips and ends.
2. Brought out the sides so there's more room and more of a sloping effect.
3. Opened up the top a little which will help in holstering the blasters when in costume (it's happened to me a couple times when I just couldn't find the holsters and had to look down....which totally ruined the "cool" effect!)
4. Also made them a little deeper. This way they could easily be trimmed at the top if a person wanted more of the blaster handle and trigger visible.

I also added one more hole (for a total of 7) on all the straps with posts, for trimming and custom fitting for different Jango heights, and the thigh straps still have 9 holes.

Guys let me know whether I screwed up the new design or not!

Kidding aside you definitely got the next revision of your holster assembly down, love the angular end tips and the reworked curvature, both excellently open up a lot of space for those bulky Westars.

Overall it’s simply prodigious stuff as usual bro.

Na, I still got it GBH.

lol: Glad you like em. cuz this one is actually yours. Look at the color though. I used a sponge brush to get a more consistent staining and it worked like a charm but it causes the stain to go on heavier and therefore makes the color darker. Personally I like this color a lot because I think it's a good solid brown and I know the stain sinked deep into the leather which will help maintain the color on the surface with wear and tear and scratches. However if you want a lighter color, then I'll have to make another set and restain using the rag method. The coloring would turn out like the V2 on the left hand side. It's your call, and either way no problem because I want you to be happy with em.

Nope! Color looks very "DEAD ON" to the screen used one's and that's the whole point, so you can stick a fork in this set as far as I'm concerned!

Sounds good to me GBH, they'll go out US Priority Mail first thing tomorrow morning with delivery confirmation and insurance. If you want I can also get signature confirmation on them. The box will be a 12x8x8, so I don't want the post office leaving it at the front door if you don't feel it's safe in case nobody's gonna be home on probably this Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks guys, I'm humbled by your comments.

I've got one more mod up for your consideration and input! The first pic below shows a decrease in the flare on the barrel side of the holster on the right. I can't decide which is more accurate?


Also, there has been some interest expressed via PMs to make some more holster assemblies available. So, I've decided I can do one more small run (3-5 assemblies). After these that'll be it for a while due to other projects and obligations. PM me if you're interested.

The second pic shows the different finishes I've been able to achieve so far.
