General T visor specific

My friend requested i help him make his mando suit and we are starting with the helmet and i found this great tutorial on youtube showing how to make your very own bucket out of home depot/Lowe's 5 gallon buckets. However he never went over the T visor at all. I was wondering how you all make such vivid and colorful T visors? My plan was to get a face shield (again from home depot) and then have a local car decalling place tint it for us but they said they dont make it in the color he wants (gold) so i was hoping to find an alternative method to getting a gold T visor. Any help appreciated.

If you are scratch building already you would just need to get 3M clear face shield and some gold mirrored window tint. Some car parts places will sell window tint in a variety of colors. If not both products are available on eBay.

Or boy a grade 4 or 5 welding face shield replacement shield. Should be able to find them at welding supply stores or Amazon.

I don't think they make those shields in gold ? And from what I have seen tinting over the smoke tint doesn't work well

Best thing to do build your helmet make a template for your visor buy a clear shield cut your shape you can buy mirrored gold tint online take to a shop and have them put it on
