Superjedi's Fugly ESB for BudaFett

Dome damage begins! You can see that there's not nearly the same amount of damage and grunge as there is on the SE version.
I'll continue working around the dome from here.

Time for a dash of color!
Masking the killstripes takes longer than actually airbrushing them, lol. But the results are always satisfying.
I used Archive-X acrylic SP Armour Yellow, with some vintage Polly Scale SP Scarlet for the "fade" effect.

With the details around the killstripes finished, I can call the dome complete! There will be some effects added during final weathering, but now it's time to move down to the cheeks.

Hi unbelievable paint work looks amazing. I’m new to this game. Are the grey damage and ware hand painted or stencilled? Only beginning to learn the techniques.
Thanks! I do the damage/details topically.
I do use Stevie stencils that I transfer onto the helmet, and then I hand paint the gray and silver with fine detail brushes.

The stencils i use are adapted from a set created by a member here called Rafalfett. There's a thread that's pinned near the top of the helmet section called stencils and templates, or something close to that.

Your paint jobs are so beautiful! I love them. I'm sorry to ask , but I'm from germany and maybe that's why I don't understand it . What is a stevie stencil? I don't get it with drawings transfer paper and rubbing it on the helmet.

Sorry if it's a dumb question
